Hotel
The home base for the reunion will be The Domain Austin & Domain NORTHSIDE. The Domain is a five-star shopping center that features 700,000 square feet of luxury fashion, high-end restaurants, and unique activities. Home to some of the most renowned upscale stores, this is Austin’s premiere stop for designer shopping. You can also enjoy exceptional amenities such as parks and playgrounds, beautiful landscaping, and convenient free parking. We selected this location because it is centrally located and everything you may need is in walking distance.
The host hotel will be the Westin at the Domain. The hospitality suite will be located here, and we have negotiated a room block. However, there are many hotel options in the area, most within walking distance. However, it is summer in Texas so walking may not be an option if you are sensitive to high temperatures.
Room Rate includes:
- Complimentary guestroom basic wi-fi (value of $14.95++, per day)
- Complimentary hotel self-parking (value compared to downtown Austin $55 per night, per guest)
- Group rate available three (3) days pre/post arrival/departure dates based on availability
- Marriott Bonvoy Points, 2 points per $1.00 of applicable revenue
The Details
The Hotel’s room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 17.614%) in effect at the time of check out.
State Tax Recovery Fee: Texas law imposes a margin tax on each company conducting business in Texas, including the Hotel Owner. To recover the cost of the margin tax, guest room rates are subject to a “State Cost-Recovery Fee” (currently 0.614% of the room rate, plus applicable state and local taxes). Although the fee is not a government mandated charge, the state allows this charge to be passed on to the customer.
Early Departure Fee: An early departure fee of $210.53 will apply if a Customer attendee checks out prior to the confirmed checkout date.
Guaranteed Reservations: All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by credit card.
Cut-Off Date: Reservations for all guests must be received on or before 5:00 PM, CST, Wednesday, June 12, 2024, (the “Cut-Off Date”). After the Cutoff Date, the hotel will release any unreserved rooms for general sale and, in the hotel’s discretion, will accept reservations at Mason Family Reunion Block’s group rate, on a space and rate available basis.
Cancellation: If for any reason, you no longer need the block of rooms, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will be happy to cancel the room block, without charge to the group. For individually made reservations, however, the hotel’s cancellation policy remains in effect.
No Room Transfer by Guest: Mason Family Reunion Block agrees that neither the Group nor attendees of the Event shall be authorized to resell room reservations made pursuant to this letter.
